HSC Full Form
HSC Full form is Higher Secondary Certificate. It is a public exam credential that is used extensively in the countries of India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. It can be seen as the equivalent of the A-Level GCE exam in England or the 3rd and 4th-year high school exams in the United States.
In India, the HSC, Intermediate, PUC, or PDC final exams are known as 12th class exams or +2 exams. They are conducted at the state level by the different state boards of education like the Bihar board, Maharashtra board, West Bengal board, MP Board, Odia board, etc. and at the national level by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and the Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim (BOSSE).
The CBSE board conducts the HSC exams once a year while the NIOS conducts them twice a year in public examinations, but it is also done as an option of on-demand examination.
However, the 10th class exams are also conducted at the state level by the state boards of education and at the national level by the CBSE. In India, this exam is referred to as the SSC exam. There are a total of 6 subjects in the HSC exam which differ on the basis of different State Boards but it is common in the case of the Central Board of Secondary Education.
In the case of Bangladesh, after the students have completed two-year higher secondary education based on their national curriculum, they have to sit for the public examination called the Higher Secondary Certificate examination.
