Bangalore University is one of the prominent universities in the state of Karnataka. It is a public state university situated in Mysore Road, Bangalore. The university is accredited by NAAC and got a grade A in 2016 under the new system of colleges grading. The university is affiliated with the University Grants Commission and is a part of various other educational institutions like the Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

To take admission to Bangalore University, students need to appear for the entrance exams. Admission to most courses is granted on the basis of merit and performance in the entrance examinations.
