What is a bank exam?
A bank exam is an exam that aspiring bankers have to attend in order for them to secure a job as a banker. Banking is one of the fastest-growing industries in India and is increasingly being considered as the sunrise sector for the Indian economy. The government is focusing on offering banking facilities in every town and village under its inclusion schemes. Therefore, more and more branches of the banks are currently being opened in each and every part of the country.
The selection of employees to bank jobs is done on the basis of written or online tests which are conducted in two different phases. These are the prelims and the mains. The bank exam syllabus for prelims and mains exam will vary slightly from each other. The prelim phase is qualifying in nature and selection is mainly based on the marks obtained in the second examination, which is the mains exam. This also includes the interview marks, if any.
Keep the exam syllabus in mind while preparing for the exam because preparation is everything. The bank exam officials do not roll out the syllabus formally. What they do instead is maintain a standard format as a means of testing the candidate’s knowledge. The bank exam syllabus includes four definitive subjects
- English Language
- Reasoning Ability
- Quantitative Aptitude
- General Awareness
