Chemistry is quite an important subject that teaches several useful skills for a student. Studying chemistry is a non-negotiable if you are planning to make a career in medicine or engineering or even a teaching career in science. Therefore, chemistry needs to be taught with extra care so that the students have a bright future. The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the revised Chemistry Class 12 Syllabus for the academic session 2021-22. As stated by them, the new and improved Chemistry Class 12 syllabus will be similar to the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry 2019 – 2020 Syllabus and therefore, are no chapters that have been newly added or exempted from the existing syllabus. Since chemistry is considered an important subject for the Class 12 Board Examination, a profound understanding of the Chemistry Class 12 Syllabus is absolutely vital to score high marks. This will help students be aware of what their weak and strong points are and hence, they can work on their improvement accordingly. At the end of Term II, in addition to all the theory examinations you need to do, there will be a 15 mark practical exam that would be conducted monitored by the external invigilators appointed by the CBSE board. This contributes to the overall practical marks for the subject.
However, with the pandemic still raging on, the situation of lockdown continues to plague us. In this situation, practical Assessments of 10 marks and Viva (5 marks) would be conducted at the second term’s end jointly by the internal and external examiners. The marks obtained by the student need to be sent by the schools to the Board and would subsequently contribute to the overall practical marks for the subject.
