Introduction:
In order to aim and score better in competitive exams, such as HTET, one should be well versed with the syllabus and the levels of the exam. The Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH) administers the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) to determine if candidates possess the essential skills and competencies to teach in any Haryana Department of School Education-approved school. Depending on their eligibility or requirements, the candidate can register for one or all of the following levels:

Level 1: Primary Teacher Level (PRT): For teaching grades 1 to 5
Level 2: Trained Graduate Teacher Level (TGT): For teaching grades 6 to 8
Level 3: Post Graduate Teacher Level (PGT): For teaching grades 11 to 12

Candidates passing the written exam will be awarded a TET (Teacher Ability Test) certificate that will be valid for seven years. Following are some crucial pointers to keep in mind while or before preparing for HTET.

The aspirant should conduct well-versed research on all kinds of books available for the preparation and shortlist the same accordingly.
Aspirants are expected to look over all of the sample questions included within the HTET official announcement. Candidates should also familiarize themselves with the HTET syllabus, exam pattern, and topic-wise weightage by solving previous years’ question papers.
The candidate applying for multiple levels is advised to thoroughly prepare the subject ‘Child Development and Pedagogy’ because the questions can be repeated in the exam levels.
During the last phase of preparation, at least two mock examinations should be taken per week for self-evaluation and getting the hang of the actual exam.
In the HTET exam, there is no negative marking, and the types of questions will be MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions). As a result, candidates should attempt all of the questions.

HTET Learning Strategies for Level 1: Primary Teacher Level (PRT)

The maximum score of the exam is 150, one mark for each question. Each subject holds an equal weightage of 30 marks. There are five subjects in the HTET syllabus, namely General Studies, Mathematics, Child Development and Pedagogy, Environmental Studies, and Languages (Hindi + English: 15 + 15 questions).
To do well in the Child Development and Pedagogy portion, candidates must be familiar with the teaching abilities required to deal with the target age group, 6 to 11 years. This subject may seem easy in the beginning but can lead to challenges in the final stages. Thus, it is advised to break down the topics and cover them on a daily basis.
To ace the Mathematics and Environmental Studies parts, candidates must have a good knowledge of topics, strong problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical mastery of all subjects.
In the General Studies part, topics such as numeric aptitude, general knowledge and awareness of Haryana, and reasoning ability are covered.
The Language Section’s most significant requirements are grammar, vocabulary, and reading ability.

HTET Learning Strategies for Level 2: Trained Graduate Teacher Level (TGT)

The maximum score of the exam is 150, one mark for each question. There are four subjects in the HTET syllabus, namely General Studies (30 questions), Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions), opted subject (60 questions), and Languages (Hindi + English: 15 + 15 questions).
To do well in the Child Development and Pedagogy portion, candidates must be familiar with the teaching abilities required to deal with the target age group, 11 to 16 years. This subject may seem easy in the beginning but can lead to challenges in the final stages.
The focus of the questions will be on the candidate’s comprehension of the characteristics, requirements, and psychology of various learners, as well as the characteristics of an effective learning facilitator.
The Languages part is intended to determine proficiency in the medium of instruction For pupils aged 11 to 16. As a result, the candidate must develop a level of grammar, vocabulary, and communication abilities (both verbal and written).
In the General Studies part, topics such as numeric aptitude, general knowledge and awareness of Haryana, and reasoning ability are covered.
Candidates should be informed that the prescribed syllabus will include BSEH curriculum courses for Classes VI through X. The difficulty level, on the other hand, will be increased.

The maximum score of the exam is 150, one mark for each question. There are four subjects in the HTET syllabus, namely General Studies (30 questions), Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions), opted subject (60 questions), and Languages (Hindi + English: 15 + 15 questions).
In the General Studies part, topics such as numeric aptitude, general knowledge and awareness of Haryana, and reasoning ability will be covered.
The candidates’ capacity to communicate in a manner acceptable for their age range of 14 to 17 years is assessed in the Languages portion.
To perform well in the Child Development and Pedagogy part, candidates must be familiar with the teaching abilities required to deal with the target age range.
