What Is REET?
The Rajasthan Entrance Examination for Teachers (REET) is a state-level examination conducted every year for aspirants who wish to get a job in government schools. The Board of Secondary Education of Rajasthan is the authority responsible for conducting the test. Government schools appoint teachers for primary and higher primary education levels based on the REET exam.

REET Exam – An Overview
REET examination consists of five main subjects, which are listed below,
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language I
- Language II
- Mathematics and Science / Social Studies
- Environmental Studies

The exam consists of 150 questions, 30 from each subject. The time limit for the exam is 30 minutes.
Further, the exam is conducted at two levels,
Level I – For aspirants who want to apply for teaching posts of Classes 1 to 5
Level II – For aspirants who want to apply for teaching posts of Classes 5 to 8
For the Language I and Language II subjects, candidates need to choose any of the following languages for the subject exam.

Language I REET Syllabus
The Language subject is used to check the candidate’s linguistic capabilities. It is a mandatory subject. English
