The Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) is responsible for organizing the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) examination to recruit individuals who possess the required set of skills to become a teacher in any school recognized by the Department of School Education, Haryana. Aspirants can register for one or more levels if they fulfill the eligibility criteria.
The HTET teaching aptitude test is conducted in pen and paper mode. To qualify for the exam, candidates have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks. However, it is advised that candidates receive a minimum of 60% marks in the written test.
To obtain good marks in the teaching aptitude test, one needs to study hard and to do so, you must prepare an HTET timetable. It helps you study and manage time more effectively. Here’s a brief idea of how to make an HTET timetable.
STEP 1: Understand The HTET Syllabus and HTET Teaching Aptitude Pattern
Not having enough knowledge about exam patterns and syllabus is one of the reasons why so many candidates do not clear the exam. All candidates looking forward to clearing the HTET exam must go through the HTET syllabus for each subject and section.
Please do not leave any topic or section of the syllabus as all the subjects and sections have their weightage. Also, candidates need to know all about the HTET exam pattern as well. To finish the exam on time, one needs to have a good understanding of the exam pattern.
Step 2: Divide Your Time Equally For Studying Each Subject
After going through the exam syllabus and better, divide your time equally for studying each subject. All topics are similarly crucial as questions can be asked from any subject or topic. For instance, if you have six subjects to prepare for, take two different subjects in one day.
Cover one in the first half of the day and the second in the other half of the day. This way you can focus on all six subjects in three days of the week and the remaining week you can revise what you’ve studied.
Step 3: Find Study Material
After you’ve set up a schedule, choose the study material that’s best for you. Multiple options you can choose from, available both online and offline. Try to buy the books that cover all the HTET syllabus as it will be a lot more convenient and practical.
Go through the books for HTET’s previous year’s papers since they play a significant role in HTET preparation. Also, always make your notes while you are studying. HTET preparation becomes a lot easier when you make your notes as these are the best study materials for your exam.
Step 4: Take Mock Tests And Practice Previous Year Question Papers
Practice as many HTET mock tests or HTET previous year papers as you can. It will help the aspirants analyze where they stand and how prepared they are for the HTET exam. Collect practice tests and previous papers from both online and offline sources.
Practice them to have a stronghold on the subjects. The harder you practice, the better your performance will be in the exam. Also, practicing mock tests and previous year’s question papers will give you an idea about managing time in the actual examination.
Step 5: Analyze Your Strong And Weak Points And Work On Them
After taking the mock test and practicing the previous year, you will find your strengths and weaknesses. Analyze them and find out the solution for your weak points. If you cannot do so on your own, take help from an expert, be it a teacher or someone who has appeared in HTET.
Step 6: Revise Thoroughly
Once you’ve worked on your weakness, start revising as it is very important to ensure you remember everything. It is advised to try and cover the entire syllabus a few days before the exam. Don’t leave anything for the last day.
Following a timetable study plan or strategy is very important while studying; it helps learn effectively and efficiently. This was just a basic idea on how you could make an HTET timetable for yourself. You can choose to follow this one or create your own as per your preferences.
