What is the HTET Exam?
HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a state-level exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana to select Primary Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers, and Post Graduate Teachers.
The online application form HTET 2021 will be available on the official website of BSEH in November – December. The application fees are Rs 1000/- for Level 1, Rs.1800/- for Level 1 and 2, and Rs. 2,400/- for all three levels combined. Students can pay the application fees online.
HTET Exam Pattern 2021
There will be a total of 150 multiple choice questions in the HTET Exam. Each question will be of one mark and have four options, out of which only one will be correct. There will be no negative marking. Here is the HTET Exam pattern for all three papers discussed in detail.
- Level I – Candidates Who Want to Teach Primary Classes (I-V)

1. Child Development and Pedagogy will be about educational psychology of learning and teaching concerning the age group of 6-11 years old children. This topic will cover interaction with learners, understanding the traits and needs of diverse learners, and the characteristics and qualities of a good knowledge facilitator.
2. The language section (Hindi & English) will focus on how proficient the candidates are in these languages.
3. The section for General Awareness and Aptitude will test the candidate’s mental and reasoning ability and knowledge about Haryana.
4. The Mathematics and Environmental Studies section will test the problem-solving abilities and understanding of the concepts of the subjects.
All the sections of the question paper will be evenly distributed following the syllabus of that subject directed by the Education Department of Government of Haryana for classes I-V.
- Level – II – Candidates Who Want To Become Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

1. The subject of Child Development and Pedagogy will cover the educational psychology of learning and teaching for the age group of 11-16 years old children. This topic will revolve around interaction with learners, understanding the traits and needs of diverse learners, and the characteristics and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
2. The language section (Hindi & English) will focus on how proficient the candidates are in teaching the age group of 11-16 years.
3. The section for General Awareness and Aptitude will test the candidate’s mental and reasoning ability and knowledge about Haryana.
4. The subject-specific section will cover the chosen subjects’ concepts, pedagogical understanding, and problem-solving abilities.
All the sections of the question paper will be evenly distributed following the syllabus for classes VI-X directed by the Board of School Education Haryana.
5. The questions pattern in the tests for Level-2 will be somewhat similar to Paper 1, but their difficulty standard and linkages will match the senior secondary stage.

3. The section for General Awareness and Aptitude will test the candidate’s mental and reasoning ability and their knowledge and awareness about the State of Haryana.
4. The subject-specific section will cover the chosen subjects’ concepts, pedagogical understanding, and problem-solving abilities.
All the sections of the question paper will be evenly distributed following the syllabus for classes IX-XII directed by the Board of School Education Haryana.
5. The questions pattern in the tests for Level-3 will be somewhat similar with Paper 1 and Paper 2, but their difficulty level and linkages will be at par with the Postgraduate level (IX-XII).
