ISC Full Form
ISC full form is Indian School Certificate. It is used to refer to the higher secondary exam or 12th standard exam conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, or as it is commonly called, the CISCE. The ISC exam was planned and developed according to the guidelines issued by the Current Education Policy regulations of 1986.
Under this policy, English is a mandatory subject in the ISC board, and all the examinations conducted by the CISCE are always carried out in English, except for the secondary languages if the student has opted for them. Many students who have passed the ISC exam have a greater chance of enrolling themselves at an A-Level college instead of the students of the respective councils and boards.
The eligibility criteria for the ISC examination are quite simple to get behind. Under the current ISC exam policies of CISCE, only Class 12 students who can prove that they have attended a full-time course at any of the CISCE affiliated schools are eligible to appear for the exam.
Unless under exceptional circumstances, students who attend a long-distance or correspondence course or students who are homeschooled are not allowed to appear for the ISC examinations.
