The Karnataka Common Entrance Test, more popularly referred to as KCET, is regulated by Karnataka Examination Authority or KEA for short. It is conducted for admission towards professional courses such as :
- Engineering Technology
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma)
- Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma)
- Agriculture courses (Farm Science)
- Veterinary courses and so on
Candidates who are looking to take admission in Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, or related medical courses need to have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET exam for short. Candidates who are looking to get admission to the Architecture course through KCET need to have qualified for the JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA to take part in KCET counseling.
The KCET exam will purely be an MCQ or objective test spanning a duration of 80 minutes for each section, with each section having 60 questions. The KCET result has been published on its official website (KEA website) on July 30. It has also released the results of KCET for the candidates whose ranks were withheld on the 5th of August 2022.
The KEA had also released the special category document verification schedule for this exam in online mode. The special category document submissions began on July 11. Applicants who applied for KCET through special category reservation need to submit the documents keeping in mind the due dates.
