OSEPA
OSEPA stands for ODISHA SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAMME AUTHORITY. According to OSEPA, education is the most significant weapon for social, economic, and political reform, as well as a critical component in the construction of a just society. In the twenty-first century, a well-educated populace with the necessary information, attitudes, and abilities is critical for economic and social development. Education also serves as a societal integrator, instilling principles that promote social cohesiveness and national identity.
The shift in the focus is from project objectives to improving systems-level performance and schooling outcomes. The emphasis of the combined Scheme would be to incentivize States towards improving the quality of education.
The existing implementing society for SSA, Odisha Primary Education Program Authority (OPEPA), was enhanced by merging with Odisha Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (OMSM), the implementing society for RMSA, to conduct various programs and schemes connected to school education.
OSEPA is in charge of administering the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), a centrally supported school education scheme that covers pre-primary through higher secondary education. The OSEPA would operate as an autonomous and independent authority for implementing the Odisha School Education Programs as stated by the Odisha or Indian governments. The authority’s efforts would be concentrated in all districts throughout the state of Odisha. The Authority was founded as a social mission to effect fundamental change in the school education system and, as a result, in the wider socio-cultural condition.
