In order to become a Primary Teacher, an applicant must have a D.EI.Ed or Diploma in Elementary Education. This diploma is a full-time as well as distance learning course of 2-years.

This diploma comprises 4 semesters and is good enough to prepare a candidate for working as a primary teacher in various primary schools.
