What is the REET Exam?
The REET exam or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers is a state-level examination that evaluates candidates for the position of teachers across state institutes. The Board of Secondary Education conducts this exam. The REET Exam 2021 results have been announced. Around 16 lakh candidates appeared for 36,000 teaching vacancies in Rajasthan. Candidates qualifying the REET Exam 2021 will be eligible for recruitment as Level I or Level II teachers. Simply put, the candidates who qualify for this exam can work as primary (classes 1-5) or upper primary teachers (classes 6-8) in schools of Rajasthan.
The REET exam 2021 will be held for around 32000 new vacancies. Those who clear the REET exam will be eligible for the post of teacher. This exam is held once every year in Hindi and English languages.

Educational Qualification
- For the position of Primary Teacher
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
Passed/Appearing in
- The final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- The last year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
- The final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
2. For the position of Upper Primary Teacher
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
Passed/Appearing in
- 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- The final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
- The final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
The applying candidate should have a minimum age of 18 years.
REET Exam 2021: Exam Pattern
- Level I: The level 1 exam is held for 2 hours and 30 minutes. A candidate is asked a total of 150 questions for 150 marks. Each section contains 30 questions worth one mark each.
- Part 1: Child Development & Pedagogy
- Part 2: Language I (English, Urdu, Hindi, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Gujarati)
- Part 3: Language II (Sindhi, Urdu, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Gujarati)
- Part 4: Mathematics
- Part 5: Environmental Studies
- Level II: The level 2 exam is held over 2 hours and 30 minutes. A candidate is asked a total of 150 questions for 150 marks.
The Level 2 exam contains only four sections that have 30 questions worth one mark each.
- Part 1: Child Development & Pedagogy
- Part 2: Language I (English, Urdu, Hindi, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Gujarati)
- Part 3: Language II (Sindhi, Urdu, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi & Gujarati)

REET Exam 2021: Interview Round
After qualifying the level 1 and 2, the candidates will proceed to the interview round. This round will test the candidate’s temperament, personality, and presence of mind to determine the best fit for the job.

- The registration for REET 2021 was from 11 January to 19 February 2021.

- There are 407 Level I and 564 Level 2 posts available.
