SEVEN SISTER STATES, , jen North-Eastern states comprising Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur,, ila ‘a, Mizoram Nagaland and Tripura are situated in a region which is, distinctly different from the other parts of India. In the first place the people of this, region are of Tibeto-Burman origin and the Mongoloid, except the Assamese and the, Bengalis of Tripura. Most of the upper Assamese are, however Mongaloid of this, region have common borders with Mayanmar, Bangladesh and China. Therefore, there is immense trade and commerce potential with the neighbouring countries., , , , , , , , 2. The Seven Sister States are quite suitable for eco-tourism. The area is, characterised by rich bio-diversity and heavy precipitation. It is endowed with, rich forest wealth and ideally suited to produce a whole range of plantation, crops, spices, fruits,, vegetables, flowers and herbs. The rich natural beauty,, serenity and exotic flora and fauna of t he area are invaluable resources for the, development of echo-tourism., , 3.
